Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since I was 10 years old; ever since I started playing ball I have filled a void within myself that I have needed to fill for years. Playing at the college level could easily change my life for the better, it would give me leadership skills, communication skills and it would help me fulfill my dreams of playing ball at the collegiate level.
Off of the ball field I am sometimes a standoff person, I like to analyze my surroundings and observe people’s actions but on the ball field I transform into a leader and a pure lover of the game. I am a very coachable player and I always try and be the best player I can be.
I am currently a sophomore and I have maintained a 3.7 GPA. I volunteer locally at my church, elementary school, and the local sports complex. I am apart of the STEM honors program, AP courses, STEM ambassador and Beta club.
I am planning on attending a university that provides the right balance of sports and academics. I would like to have professors that push me to be the best student I possibly can be. I would also like for my coaches to push me out of my comfort zone and help push me to the best of my ability. I hope to become a positive role model in my community and make my family proud.
