I'm Ja'Niya Little, and I'm a freshman at Early College of Forsyth County. Since I was eight years old, I've been playing softball. Every year, I started playing reck leagues, then played softball for my middle school team (Walkertown Middle), which I continued throughout high school. As a freshman, I made the varsity softball team. There are a few characteristics that distinguish me apart from the other players. One is my height, which is 5'11". I have grit and am self-motivated. Another feature that differentiates me from others is my commitment to accomplishing my goals. I will devote all of my efforts to attaining those goals. I enjoy working as part of a group, and I exhibit the discipline and ethics necessary to contribute to any team. I am a diligent worker on and off the field, and I always try to motivate and encourage my teammates. You'll never have to tell me something twice because I'm incredibly teachable. I'm continuously raising the bar for myself. In terms of academics, I am an excellent student. I'm now enrolled in early college and working for an associate's degree and diploma. In terms of a career, I'm not sure what I want to do in the future. I have aspirations to practice law or medicine. My immediate objective is to continue to improve my softball skills while maintaining good grades that will allow me the opportunity to attend college in my desired field.
