Softball did not start out as a top interest of mine. In all actuality, I started my young life out as a dancer. However, I was asked to sub for a recreational team when I was seven. That moment was when I absolutely fell in love with the game. Softball, for me, did not start out easy. I struggled for many years to be a good competitor. I always felt behind because the other girls had been playing for at least three years. However, my dad always pushed me to never settle, to never stop learning, and to never be comfortable. He always told me the minute you are comfortable, is the moment you stop improving. I feel like I have him to thank for my dedication and strong work ethic. I pride myself on being a competitor who is always looking to improve and be better. Each week I put in the work it takes to constantly improve my skills. Also, I work on how to be a better leader and teammate. The opportunity to play in college is one I have dreamed about for a few years. I have grown to love this game so much over the past ten years of playing, and I don't want to stop after high school. I would love the opportunity to play softball and continue my education.
