The first thing you need to know about me is that I am an athlete. Softball is my favorite sport. However, I am also a point guard on my high school basketball team. I run track on my varsity track team: 4x100 meter dash; 4x800 meter dash; and 100 meter hurdles. I also play slow pitch softball. I try to play golf when I can. I was also a gymnast when I was younger and can still throw a back tuck.
Secondly, I am a leader and a worker. I work extremely hard in practice, during games and while training. My high school softball coach gave me the "Hustle Award" after my freshman year. He gives that award to the player he believes worked the hardest for him the entire year. I hit with a private hitting coach once per week and I also work out and run on my own regularly. I am extremely aggressive in basketball and I will not back down from anyone, no matter the size. It is my work ethic that allows me to be an effective leader with my team.
Finally, I am a scholar. I have always worked as hard on my grades as I do in athletics. I have never made anything lower than an A, for nine weeks or semester grades, in my academic career. I have taken the ACT twice. Once at the beginning of my freshman year and made a 21. I also took it in 7th grade and I made an 18.
It is my goal to play softball during my undergraduate years in college. After I have completed my undergraduate degree, I plan to move on to medical school to be a pediatrician.
