Softball players around the world are dreaming of becoming a college athlete, including me. When I picked up a bright pink bat at the age of 4, I had never thought that I could fall in love with the game as much as I have. Being a fan of softball practically my whole life, I admired the way the college athletes play. They not only have an incredible amount of talent, but they strive and work hard to show athletes like me what it will take to be them someday. In the classroom, I always work hard and study. I know that when succeeding in school, you are able to open many doors. Without working hard in life, you will not reach your dreams. I come to practice everyday with a smile on my face and a good attitude. I work hard to be the best possible softball player I can be. Being a leader on a team means hard work, encouragement, drive, and most importantly teamwork. I believe that I am a team leader.
Coach, when I step foot onto your field, I promise to give 110% effort in everything I do. I will fail, work through the mistake, then succeed. Winning is a whole team effort, not just one person. You will always win as a team and lose as a team. I hope that my dreams of becoming a collegiate athlete turn into a reality.
