Emma Bryant '24 Recruiting Profile

My collegiate goals are to play at the highest level possible and be a model student athlete. My dreams are to find the right team and school that I can grow and prosper. I would one day like to attend medical school and pursue a career as a pediatrician once I have completed my biology major.  I have loved the game of softball since it was introduced to me at a very early age (4). I have been competing at the highest levels in my area since 8U when I tried out and made my first travel ball team. During  this time I began pitching and working to become the best athlete I can be. I can be found in my parents garage on nights and weekends working on my snaps and tee work when weather may not be applicable for me to be working on the field.  My 8th grade year I was able to try out and ultimately  made the varsity softball program that we were zoned for. That summer I had the opportunity to apply for Brashier Middle College charter high school which is a highly sought after school in my area with strong academic programs. Over 300 students applied for only 100 spots for the upcoming freshman class. I feel extremely fortunate that I was accepted into the school. Brashier is only 1 or a few high schools in the state of South Carolina that have set the benchmark of 80% or above for successfully passing and getting credit for the courses. I feel this strong academic challenge as well as the coaching from both my travel and high school ball coaches will help prepare me to be successful in my future collegiate endeavors and shape me for the future.
