Personal Statement
Hello my name is Mandalyn Nachtigall. I will graduate from Douglas High School in 2024. Softball has been a huge part of my life. It has taught me to be involved, share, and work together with my teammates for a common goal. I am very competitive in the classroom and on the field.
I have been playing ball since I was six years old and I have been pitching since I started softball. I love pitching because I get to be a leader for my team and set the tone for the game. I like being a leader and motivating my teammates.
I strive to be an important part of every play, even if it's just supporting my teammates from the dugout. When I am not on the mound throwing strikes, I am often playing center field. I love to play center field because I have a strong arm, I am good at reading the ball in the air and I am motivated to get to the ball and make the play.
I continue to learn about softball and different strategies of the game every day. I work hard on and off the field. I am driven and a very coachable player who looks forward to playing college softball someday in the future.
