Giselle Esparza '26 Recruiting Profile

My name is Giselle Esparza and I am a 2026 catcher and outfielder. I have been in the Corona Angels organization for three years and have been coached by Lorie Coleman and Coach Marty Tyson. In the summer of 2022, my team built the qualification in the supplemental bracket at the Colorado Sparkler Tournament, also qualifying in the Alliance Championship in California. This summer my team played in Colorado and won our bracket! After this tournament, my team was ranked 8th in the state and 23rd nationally.  While in Colorado, I attended the Stars of Tomorrow Combine and received an invitation to compete due to being one of the top 60 stars in my 2026 age category, placing 19th. I made the top five in the following categories:

• First place in Exit Velocity with 67.7

• Fourth place in MAX Exit Velocity with 71.6, 

• Second place for Max Distance being 217,

• Third place for Damage % being 33.3%, 

• Fifth place for S2 being 81.0, 

• Second place for the 10-yard dash being 1.82, 

• Fifth place for the 20-yard dash being 3.12, and 

• Third place for Position of Power being 68.15. 

I am a 4.0 GPA student-athlete and work hard on and off the field. Academically, I have achieved honor roll 2 years in a row and am part of my school's National Honor Society. I am dedicated not only to school and softball but most importantly God. I strive every day to strengthen my relationship with God and I put in the work to one day attend a 4 year Christian University. To my team, I believe I am an asset! In everything I do, I want to be a Difference Maker in our program and will sacrifice what is needed of me for my team to succeed. One of the highlights this season is that I have the privilege of training with Ramon Richards former NFL athlete and Johnny Reign, and Nikki Udria former Oregon athletes, as well as diligently working on my defense and hitting fundamentals.
