Personal Statement
Hello!
My name is Madi-Lynne Englund and I have been playing softball since I was 4 years old. I joined my first travel team at the age of 8 and have been playing travel ball since. I grew up in a family of past baseball players so my love for the game has been there since I was born. I am currently valedictorian of my class and am taking college classes while being in high school. I was also a freshman starter on my varsity softball team and have earned numerous awards. After high school, I want to pursue a career in sports medicine to become an athletic trainer. I have overcome numerous amounts of adversity while playing travel ball but those challenges have only helped me to become the player I am today. My parents have instilled the mindset of "be the best that you can be and always give 100%" in me ever since I started to play ball. I always put academics first because I know grades are extremely important in order to get to play sports in college. I work every day to improve my skills in the classroom and on the field.
