Personal Statement
I started playing softball when I was four years old. Then when I was league age 9 I started playing little league softball, I played 4 years of Little league all stars and were district champs 3 years in a row and state runner up 2 times. This will be my third year with my middle school team and second year with my ASA travel team NEK Triforce, I play a wide variety of positions, I started out with 3rd base and then I tried catcher and recently found my main position to be shortstop or second base. I want to push myself to the best of my abilities, and being from the state of Vermont we don't have the opportunity to play softball all year round. So that pushes me to work as hard as I can when I step into the gym in the spring, to make myself even stronger than I was the year before. In the off season I play field hockey and basketball to keep myself conditioned and in shape. I like to challenge myself on the field as well as in the classroom, I study hard. I volunteered as a mentor on our schools Special Olympics team. My freshman year of high school I was pulled up to varsity for softball where I was awarded First Team All-Metro for Shortstop. My junior year I was named one of two captains along with First Team All-Metro for Second Base and The Records All Area Dream Dozen softball team.
