Personal Statement
I started playing softball at the age of 8 years old and my love for the game has progressed steadily since. For as long as I can remember, my goal has been to play college softball at the highest level I am capable, while getting an excellent education. My long term goals are to go into the medical field either as a radiologist or a veterinarian. Softball has given me opportunities and personal characteristics too numerous to mention. I have learned that hard work travels much further than you could ever imagine. I will be on my 2018 varsity team for my freshman season. I play outfield, 3rd base, and 2nd base. I consider myself flexible and am willing to play any position that will best benefit my team. I strive for academic excellence and maintain a 4.0 GPA. When I’m not playing softball, I am usually watching softball and hockey, or have my nose stuffed in a book. During the off-season, I play volleyball for my school team and compete in forensics.
