Addison Thompson '24 Recruiting Profile

My name is Addison Thompson and I am a 5'8 outfielder in the class of 2024 from Chesterfield, Virginia. I am excited to announce that I will be playing for the Carolina Cardinals 16U National team during the summer of 2022 coached by John Garner, Terry Batts, and Tianna Batts. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to contribute my hard work and dedication in the classroom as well as on the softball field to your program, so that when I leave, I will leave behind something that I am proud of, as well as something that shows how all of the hard work paid off. I am an ideal candidate for your team because, more importantly than how I hit or how I field, I am willing to work harder than everyone else and I am always looking for something to improve about my game. This means that I am an incredibly coachable player who understands discipline and the importance of teamwork and communication. I am different from other recruits because not only am I willing to give 110% on the field, but I also will give just as much effort to my school work, as my education has always been incredibly important to me. I want to play softball at the collegiate level so that I can create lifelong bonds with my fellow teammates as well as coaches, and so that hopefully one day all of my work will give a little bit back to the sport that has given me so much and has shaped me into the person I am today.
