Hello Coach!
My name is Amaya Allen and I am a 15-year-old rising sophomore at King’s Fork High School in Suffolk, Virginia. I’m heading into my second year as a starter on the varsity softball team. I am also a multi-sport athlete having cheered, performed gymnastics, played field hockey, volleyball and basketball with me earning a letter in basketball. While staying busy athletically, I also maintain a 3.9 GPA.
I’ve been playing softball since I was four years old and would love to be able to continue playing at the next level. Why would I be a good fit for your program, you ask?
It would be easy to share a list of statistics, teams or tournaments I’ve played in but it wouldn’t tell you who I am or how I would be a good fit for your program.
If you are in search of a player that’s coachable, open to learning, shows unshakeable commitment and a positive “can-do” attitude, then I would be a perfect fit for your program. I take great pride in my community and give back in the form of volunteering (Historical Society of Suffolk, Suffolk Fire Department, etc.) as well as pushing myself to excel academically. I take the duty of representing my family, coach, team and school seriously.
As far as education and post softball, I want to earn my degree in Health Sciences and ultimately work in the healthcare industry. My goal is to find a school that has robust academics and a competitive softball program. I’m looking forward to getting to know you and learning more about your school/program. Thank you for considering me.
