My name is Reina Washington and I am in love with the game of softball. I am open to learning new things and trying different techniques in order to improve my game. My primary positions are short stop, second, and outfield, but I will and can play anywhere I am needed in order to benefit the team. I like to say that I have a high softball IQ, always knowing where the ball is going to go for the next play, or what to do in the batter's box to help my base runners. I have been playing softball since I was eight years old, but I've also been involved in other sports including taekwondo, track, and basketball. I have a black belt in taekwondo and I still play basketball at a high level. I take pride in my academics, striving to maintain at least a 4.0 or higher at all times, which I have done so far. I want to study psychology in college. That could change as I explore new things throughout my high school career. I prefer a school on the east coast, close to home, but I'm open to all options. I just want to be able to have fun and do what I love while receiving a good education. I truly believe that sports help to prepare you for the future. I am dedicated to doing my best in everything that I do. I want to have a positive impact on the people around me, whether it be my teammates, coaches, classmates, and even strangers.
