Personal Statement
I have been playing softball since the age of 4. Ever since I stepped onto that field, I knew that this is what I wanted to do. Continuing my softball career in college is something that has been very important to me. I understand that this will take hard work and dedication and I am willing to work as hard as I need to and more. There isn't a better way I could think of to do during my college career. I plan to give it my all, and work hard to achieve this goal.
I have really fast reflexes when it comes to softball. I wouldn't say that I am the fastest runner, but I am very smart on the base path which results in good outcomes. Along with that, I am a team leader and I set examples for the younger girls on my team(s). I have a very positive attitude and I am always talking to hype up my teammates. I make sure that I give advice to my teammates who have a hard time with confidence. My personality leaves me very coachable and I take criticism with an open mind to make me better as a player and as a student. I am always giving 100% effort in order to make me better as a player, along with setting examples for my teammates. This includes in the classroom, on the field, and as a recruit.
In the classroom I study very hard and withhold a 3.7 GPA. I am always helping out around my school. I make sure I am being a leader and setting examples for the younger kids. I have helped with the middle school in welcoming the eighth graders to high school. I also have been in leadership classes that have allowed me to get to know people and teach me useful skills. My mindset is to attend a college where I can challenge myself both academically and athletically. I am open to all options and want to find a college that is the best fit for me and has my best interest at heart. With these things being said, I desire to play at the highest level possible that will positively impact me. I aspire to become a successful student athlete and role model to my peers allowing me to make my parents and people in my life proud.
