Personal Statement
Softball has always been a big part of my life. I started with tee-ball when I was three and have been playing ever since. I started playing club five years ago and I have met so many amazing people and learned so many amazing things. Throughout my softball career, I have grown a lot as a person and an athlete. I am a very determined person and always try my hardest on things I have started, even if they aren't working out. In seventh grade, I underwent spinal fusion and was back on the field for my middle school season six months later. I have played many sports but found that softball is the one that I want to really get good at and play for as long as possible.
Softball isn't the only place where I do my best. I am very competitive academically as well. While my school doesn't offer a ton of AP or honors classes, I take the challenge where I can. I have been a year ahead in math since eighth grade and am taking an AP class and a pre-AP class this year. I finished my freshman and sophomore year with all A's and I am continuing my senior year with a 3.96 unweighted GPA. I plan to get my AA through my school's Running Start program so I can really focus on my major in college. I want to major in biology and possibly minor in German. After I graduate college, I want to attend medical school to get my doctorate. I hope to continue playing softball while studying in college. I am excited to see what's coming in the next chapter of my life!
