Peighton Fuhriman '23 Recruiting Profile

I fell in love with softball at a very young age. I remember going to my older sister's games and wishing I could be out on the field playing. From there my love for the game continued to grow. I started playing in 1st grade on my cities Parks and Recreation team and then after 2 years I started playing for Tri-cities Girls' Fastpitch Softball Association and played in that league for 2 years. After that I've played on several travel teams for 4, almost 5, years.

One reason I want to play college softball is because I want to be able to take my education to the next level and earn my degree while also pursuing my softball career. I am a hardworking individual that will do anything to better myself and my team. I love the competitiveness of travel ball and spending time with my team mates in between games. I put in a lot of work at practice and always give 100% and when it comes to games I give 110%. 

I have a big supportive family that is always there for me and I appreciate them so much. My family and I are also active members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints which allows me to do a lot of volunteer work and community service. I love helping others and doing good. I have been balancing many honors and Pre-IB classes for a years now and find joy in knowing that not only am I striving to be the best student I can be, but also working to be the best athlete I can too.
