My name is Justyce Porter and I am a 5'11" pitcher who commands the circle on the softball field. The reason why I want to play college softball is because, I give 100% of my attention and abilities on the field and in the classroom. I am truly dedicated to this sport and very knowledgable of the game, and believe there is still more I can learn everyday. I know that I am capable of playing at a collegiate level and continue to strive for this dream in all my efforts on and off the field. My major accomplishments so far, were being able to play in the Colorado Sparkler 14u All Star TCS Games on June 25, 2018, and on my school softball team I was Co- Captian as a freshman and was awarded MVP of the Nisqually League, as well as on my own team.
I am a 2022 grad and I go to a private school in SeaTac Washington, Seattle Christian. I have attended this school since kindergarten. At my school education is very important to the school as well for the students. As a student I excel at school with a GPA of 3.6. I also play three sports on the Varsity level, Volleyball, Basketball and Softball, I also enjoy preforming in Drama. My preferred sport of course is softball. I have played select since I was 8 with the same organization, the Washington Acers.
I have been told by all my coaches that I am a leader to my teammates on and off the field. I am prepared to be a captain for the next three years on my school team and will offer the same positive role on my select team. When there isn't any practices or tournaments, I am consistently working on my pitching, hitting, or infeilding, I also enjoy playing first or third. I have learned that hard work pays off, and if I want to be on the field I will never give up.
College is a big choice in life and I am open to going anywhere near or far from where I grew up. My top two choices for a major is either Marine Biology, or Pre Veterinarian. If I can study these topics, and play softball too, I promise to give 110% effort in both. My main softball goal is to continue to play at a high level and play in college. This will continue to allow me to play the sport I've loved ever since I was 8. And at the end of the day if I could get an education at a school I love and continue playing softball for as long as I can, I will have fulfilled my pre career dreams.
