Personal Statement
First, let me say I love softball. It is my passion. I have played softball since I was 5. I started as a catcher and have played there ever since. I love to be able to call the game and to have control of the game as well. I am a 5'5" 165 sophomore at Scott High School in Madison, WV. I hit my first out of the park home run in 5th grade and every year after I have carried on the tradition by hitting at least one out. My batting average for my 6-8th grade year was .650. I have always played catcher but I play the corners as well.
I started on varsity as catcher in the 6th grade and made All Conference in the 7th and 8th grade. In 8th grade I won the Jerry Workman award. This award is given to the top athlete in the school based on academics and athletics. I played softball, basketball and cheered during my middle school years. I have a 4.0 average that I have maintained since I started school.
I have been to several camps, from UK to Liberty University as well as many others. I use this information to build my skill and to make me the best softball player I can be. I put my faith and my family first. Everything else will fall into place with hard work and dedication.
