Personal Statement

Hello my name is Kelly Boyle.  I am a combo guard in the graduating class of 2023 and basketball is one of the most important things in my life.  My coaches and friends would describe me as coachable, hardworking, competitor, and willing to fight and strive for what I want in basketball and life.  I personally take pride in my work ethic and ability to fight through adversity.   On the court I would describe myself as a scrappy, quick, unafraid point guard with a high basketball IQ.   Defense and my intense energy is a very important part to my game.  I love to pressure and get up close while guarding the ball.  I’m also always diving and getting on the floor for loose balls or tying the ball up, as well as fighting for rebounds even though some may consider me a smaller guard.  My natural personality also allows me to be a great leader, communicator, and overall good teammate on and off the floor.

I am a person who works extremely hard for the things I want regardless of how big or small.  My team as a whole worked hard all season my 8th grade high school year and we succeeded by winning state, which was probably my favorite memory as a basketball player.   But this past year my sophomore season we lost in the semi’s in state.   Adversity and struggles like this push me and push my team to be better.  I hate to lose more then anything and can’t stand not having things I pushed myself and worked hard for, regardless if it’s basketball, school, or life.   School, learning and getting good grades are also really important to me.  I aspire to play basketball at a high level and at a good academic school.  I know that my basketball abilities will be a value to any basketball program because of the players I have played  with and practiced against since 7th grade.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
