Yvonne Lee '22 Recruiting Profile

     My name is Yvonne Lee from Broad Run HS located in Virginia. Currently, I am a  junior in the class of 2022. As a consistent 5'3 starter and leading scorer since freshman year, I take pride in practicing a strong work ethic both on and off the court. My GPA stands at a 4.37 and I'm in the top 10% of my class. My passion for basketball started as a kindergartener when my teacher taught me how to play H.O.R.S.E. Ever since then, that passion for the game has remained consistent throughout my life. I also take part in the community by volunteering around the school when needed and being a referee for the local youth basketball league which I grew up in. 

     Although I am determining what I would like to major in, I do have interest in the field of sports medicine and athletic training. I would love to be part of an athletic program that puts athletes in the best position to succeed in both academics and athletics, helping to better prepare them for life beyond basketball. I believe an ideal team consists of teammates and coaches who push me and keep me accountable, as well as becoming a lifelong family. 

     As a 5'3 basketball player, I have to consistently work even harder to achieve the goals I set for myself. Being this height has taught me grit as well as what it means to have a strong work ethic. Although I may be small, my heart and determination are at large and I'll give my all to any program that I'm in.  My biggest assets are leadership, character, and a strong work ethic. I take much pride in these traits as I am confident that I'll bring them to the table everyday. After every basketball game, I make sure to help my school janitors by staying late to pick up the trash left of the bleachers. I understand and have been taught to leave every place better than you've found it, which will be my goal for the future college program that I get the opportunity to attend.
