Personal Statement

I’m not ready for the challenge, I’m ready to be the challenge. What I entail, is that I have worked all my life to be something better, someone greater. I grew up an athlete, sports being a huge part of my life and what I see as my future. From gymnastics, to swimming, tennis, dance, golf, I did it all, but when it came to high school I decided to pick up diving. Being a former gymnast, diving came naturally to me. From breaking a freshman record by 100 points, to securing a spot at states 3 years in a row, to making top 3 in CCC three years in a row, to beating teams of 4 all by myself I have proved I am a force to be reckoned with. My junior year, I was the only diver on the team. I rose to the occasion and obtained a record of 7 - 3 winning 7 meets as the only diver. I was once told that college sports is like a full time job. That is a job I am ready to pursue.
