o Research project junior year to make lettuce more drought resistant by adding potash
o Did project because many areas in the world face food insecurity due to climate change and drought and therefore decreases in agricultural production
o Participated in school, regional, and state science fairs and won awards at all three
o Had a 180.78% increase in average dry mass of the group with potash then group without potash- hypothesis was correct
