Dear Coaches,
My name is Paula Lassance, I’m 5’6’’ and weigh 122 pounds. I’m currently playing at Windermere Preparatory School’s Girls Varsity golf team. I’ve been on the team since my freshman year, and now as a Sophomore, I played at this season’s Districts, Regionals, and State Championships. I helped my school lower its position from 11th to 6th place at the Florida State championships, which was truly an amazing experience. I am beginning to explore college options and I’m very interested in attending and playing golf at college. High scored colleges offer my ideal college standards, such as one with high standards in academics, a world-renowned program, and a competitive golf team. I know I have the potential and willingness to help my university’s golf team in the near future. I started playing golf when I was six years old and have dreamed of being able to play for my college while studying to get a degree. I plan to major in Law after getting a degree in STEM. Both are areas pique my curiosity, such that this interest was and continues to be deepened since I was accepted into John Hopkins University’s program, CTY. It is a platform that allows me to study in-depth certain subjects within the fields of STEM and humanities. My keen interest in law and how justice works rose as I enrolled in my prior school’s Model United Nations club. I’m inspired by humanitarian causes and minorities’ rights to follow their chosen path. This will allow me to help people in need. In Brazil, my country of origin, I won the National Junior Championship three times in my category, at the ages of 12, 13, and 14. I am delighted that I could be awarded at that time as it demonstrates my technical capacity, my correct attitude, and ethical behavior with my opponents as well as the golf sport that I’m passionate about.
Thank you for taking your time and consideration.
Paula Lassance
