Hello! I am Erin Joyce, a junior at Paramus High School in New Jersey. I began to play golf when I was 9 years old and ever since then, I fell in love with the sport. I found it so interesting about the different ways you needed to approach a hole, and also the different clubs, how to use them, and different strategies to use them. When I was younger I had a lot of difficulty in school, from my speech development in kindergarten to adjusting to various other subjects as I got older. Since I started getting involved in golf, I have learned how to focus, take my time and not get over frustrated when having difficulty. It has also made me a lot more comfortable when asking for help in school and anything that challenges me. I feel this would greatly benefit my college career both academically and athletically. Outside of school golf has been a great pastime for both me and my dad to enjoy together.
I have been on the varsity team since my freshman year. I have had dedication, hard work, and determination when it comes to my sport and academics. I am a team player and I love to work with my teammates and be able to reach our goals together. I work very hard for my grades as school is my number one priority for me with my GPA at 3.7 (as of 2022) and I am always willing to put in extra work to make sure I can be as successful as I can be.
My goal has always been to reach my fullest potential to play at the collegiate level and become a better player and student.
