I am currently looking for a school that suits my goals of academic excellence in pursuing a biology major on a pre-med track. Golf is my greatest passion, so my goal is to attend a good academic school while also playing collegiate golf.
I have always had a strong commitment in things I am involved in and can balance school, golf, and other activities very well. I have maintained straight A’s for the past three years while taking AP classes and also dedicating much of my time to golf. I enjoy being involved in my school and community as I volunteer as a teacher assistant at Chinese School weekly, am a part of my school’s Key Club where we volunteer at elementary schools, and am President of American Cancer Society at my school. I have also tutored piano multiple times a week to kids for the past three years. Even with all my activities, I always find time to play golf every day.
I have improved my golf game greatly since I first started playing five years ago. My strength is being mentally strong, which is something I have learned from playing many competitive tournaments. This allows me to overcome adversity both on and off the golf course. This past year, I have had fourteen rounds of golf with scores of par or better. I enjoy practicing all year round and always strive to get better. I’m always eager to learn from others to improve my game.
Even while golf is considered an individual sport, I have been fortunate enough to be a part of golf teams, which has developed my character and teamwork skills. During my freshman year of high school, I led our varsity team to get into Districts. I also was a part of a PGA Jr. League team and led our team into the Regional Tournament this past season. Additionally, I earned the opportunity to be a member of the NOPGA Jr Ohio Cup team where we won in both 2023 and 2024. I have enjoyed these experiences where I get to challenge and support others as a team and hope to continue that in college golf.
