Morgan Simmons '23 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Morgan Simmons. I am currently a junior at Hutchison School in Memphis, Tennessee, and will graduate in 2023.  This past September 2021, I placed second at regionals as an individual with a  score of 75. My team also came in first at regionals to qualify for state. My current handicap is a 2.5 and improving quickly. I also played in a Notah Begay Qualifier at Orgill Park and I shot 74,72. Although golf is very important to me, I also value my academics, as well as extracurricular activities. I am very involved in my youth group and participate in service projects with  my school. I am currently taking Advanced placement English and History, and honors Spanish. My GPA is a 3.6 and weighted is a 4.02. Recently I shot 74 at the IMG qualifier in Memphis TN and went into a playoff for the win and holed out from 120 yards to win! I now will be traveling to San Diego to compete at Torrey pines for the world championship. I am very driven and love the sport so much. It has always been my dream to play college golf and I'm beyond thankful for all the people in my life who have helped me get closer to achieving that goal.
