Hi, I am Mya Groves, class of 2026! My goals in college are to earn a degree in sports psychology and to compete as an athlete in an environment where I can succeed both academically and athletically. I have always loved sports and the mental aspects of them, making sports psychology a great field for me. As a leader on both of my teams, I have consistently supported my teammates and is a reliable resource for them. I am committed to addressing both the challenges and positives in an athlete's mindset. As an athlete, I am willing to work hard for my position and aim to leave a lasting, positive mark on my team. Outside of the gymnastics gym, I am dedicated to maintaining good grades while being involved in three honor societies and holding officer positions in clubs. Learning to balance my academics with over 20 hours a week in the gym and a social life has been challenging, but I have successfully managed it. I have always believed that the glass is half full and tackle every challenge with an optimistic outlook. I would benefit a team by boosting morale and contributing athletically as well.
