Hello my Name is Samantha Schaefer I am a 2 year varsity letter and varsity starter on the Warren Hills Girls Lacrosse team, I am still undecided for a club team. My collegiate goals and aspirations are to become better on and off the field, be the best I can be along will to win, as well as getting defensive player of the year or week and my career goal saves. However what makes me a good candidate for the team because not only my skill level but my mentality and my work ethic and I love meeting new teammates and coaches!! What makes me different from other recruits is that my playing experience, I’ve only been playing for 2 years, I started my freshman year of high school and taught myself how to play, I would watch flim on college goalies and all I wanted to do was to fit in and get better. And so I took that motivation and from then to now as a sophomore going into my junior year there are no days off not even holidays I will forever have my goalie gloves on and my stick and getting nailed with lacrosse balls because experience isn’t going to stop me from reaching my goals and people have doubted me along the way but that doesn’t stop me. Although this year as a sophomore I had a thumb injury due to lacrosse and I felt behind when I finished my recovery, I felt behind and it made a delay on my career and playing experience so I kept working and now I’m back and I’m still working for my goals! This is only the beginning of my career. Academically I thrive to put that first along with always putting student before athlete and to pressure my major that I want to do in my life and most important to be a better student athlete on and off the field
