Personal Statement

I always love challenging myself and I feel that playing a sport in college will be the ultimate challenge. Growing and developing not only as a player, but as a person makes it worth it in the end. Playing lacrosse in college will enable me to strengthen my mentality and learn to be a leader to others. I'm looking forward to being apart of a team that challenges me to improve my skills and also a team that will be considered a family to me. Ever since high school sports, I always knew I had something that most of the players on my soccer, basketball, and lacrosse team didn't have. Passion. When I'm playing a sport, I am determined to work hard at it. Even if it's not my favorite or best sport, I still go 100% because doing the little things that your strong at can make or break a team. Playing a sport to me is like being in a relationship because all of my emotions are tied into that one sport. The past teams I have been on, there has been players with bad attitudes and a lack of discipline. As an individual, I strive to spread my positive energy and as a leader, I drive to motivate my teammates.
