Hi, my name is Sarah Wilson and I am from capital city, Charleston, West Virginia. To start my sports career out strong, I played soccer for 8 years and currently continue playing High School ball as a Varsity Starter. I have received a pin or letter for every year and played in every game. When I finally reached High School an upcoming women’s lacrosse team was formed and this would be where I found my true passion. The speed, talent, and intensity of the game mesmerized me as I played. I picked up the sport quicker than I could ever imagine scoring my way up to the top of the leader boards and earning my spot on the field as a starting varsity freshman. I was awarded with Second Team All-State as a freshman, then later as a sophomore received First Team All-State and Second Top Scorer in the state with 49 goals. I have explosive speed and strong legs, running a 100m dash in 14 seconds flat and a mile in 6:45. Academics are very important to me, I am a straight A student taking all honors classes and carrying a cumulative GPA of a 4.3. I have made the National Honor Society every year and have been awarded with the Honorable Student Athlete title. Lacrosse became a dream of mine two years ago when I picked up my brand new stick and scored my first-ever goal in a real game. Coaches have said that I am a hard worker and easy to work with. I am not afraid to go after the ball no matter how big or how small my opponent is since I know I have the strength and foot skills to win. My goal is to better my skills by playing competitively at the next level, and also passing my knowledge to future lacrosse girls along the way.
