Hi! I’m Cadence and I have been competitively rowing since I was 12. I have always been a driven person and no other sport has really clicked for me like rowing has. It’s a sport that requires not just a physical ability, but a level of passion, and it’s become a big part of my life. I have sat and raced every seat in the boat and am grateful because it has truly shaped me into a versatile rower. This winter in February I had surgery for a chronic illness, Endometriosis. Although it was a tough decision and greatly impacted my training this winter it had led me to feel the best I have in years. Coming off of surgery recovery was hard but now I’m constantly dropping seconds a week, I know I can break into the 7:40s soon.
I always believed in the saying “go big or go home”, and did just that as I qualified for nationals at 13 in the Women’s U16 8+ (2022). After that, the fire was lit and I went on to row bow seat in the Women‘s U17 4+ at Head of the Charles (2022), two seat in the Women’s U17 4+ (2023) at Nationals, and two seat in the Women’s Varsity 8+ at Head of the Charles (2023). I stroked the U17 8+ and U19 8+ at Canadian Royal Henley, advancing out of heats. Had a successful top 1/3 finish at Head of the Charles in the Women's youth 8+ (2024), and a successful 3rd place finish in the women's 4- at Mercer Sprints (2025). Along with a regional 3rd place finish in the Women’s 4- (2025). I can’t wait to see what summer training and racing has in store for me!
