Personal Statement

Hello coaches! My name is Madeline Glover and you should consider me not just because I love this sport, but for many other reasons too. I have been rowing for almost 4 years and I love seeing my progress. Being involved with this sport has taught me so much about myself, and how far I can push my limits. I strive to set new goals for myself, and I won’t give up until they have been achieved. Also, I don’t believe in quitting workouts because I know if I stop, I’m giving up on myself and my teammates.

Outside of rowing I am involved in many extracurriculars. I am a leader at my school, and I believe I set a positive example for others! I am a student ambassador for Expeditions In Etiquette. I have been a Girl Scout for 8 years and I love helping my community!

I enjoy the challenge mentally and physically that rowing gives me, and I can’t wait to continue to grow!
