Ever since I could walk I have fallen in love with sports, watching, playing, coaching, and reffing. When I was young I tried multiple different sports but quickly fell in love with soccer when I was around 6. I started playing as a striker or defender but when our only goalkeeper got stung by a bee in the hand I was put in goal. I will never forget the first save I made; there was such an adrenaline rush that I had never experienced before that caused me to fall in love with goalkeeping and quickly became my primary position.
My leadership, love for the game, resilience, and love for solving problems makes me a good candidate for your college team. Leadership is not just about what happens on the field but also off the field. A good leader cares about their teammates just as much, if not more, than themselves. I love watching my teammates have success on and off the field.
I love watching the results of what happens from working hard. When I graduate I want to work with the human body and sports. I have a real passion for helping kids with cognitive, sensory, and physical disabilities play sports. I got to see firsthand how hard it is to be excepted when you're different because of my brother. I want to give the chance for kids with disabilities to have outlets to play sports or just hang out with kids like them.
