The moment I touched a size 3 ball at my feet, I realized that soccer is what I wanted to pursue. It was my dream to play for as long as I could at the highest level. It has always been my aspiration to play collegiate soccer. When I put my cleats on, nothing else matters but improving and getting the ball to where it needs to be. Whether I am juggling or in a game, all I think about is my goal and dream. As I enter the field with my accelerated heart and my knotted stomach, I know that the thousands of hours invested are worth it to feel the sudden amazement of the beautiful plays created by my teammates and I. As a player, my only thought will be to improve so that my dream becomes a reality.
