Personal Statement
As a dominating player and contributing to the Delaware State Soccer Championship twice in my high school career, so far, it has been an extremely inspiring experience as an athlete. We start out every season with taking home the trophy and competing at the highest level. Winning is our focus. My high school soccer journey began as a starter during my 8th grade year. We made it to the state tournament and lost during the quarterfinals (under a new coach). Losing in the quarterfinals was such a painful experience for our team that we committed to working harder and better together in the following years. Experiencing the heartbreak of losing an important game helped me grow as a player and increased my desire to win. As a 4.0+ student athlete, I am competitive both off and on the field. I have a large group of friends and am well liked by my peers, teammates, and coaches. I am committed, focused, and eager to grow and learn as an athlete.
In 2018-2019 under Coach Brackin, my freshman year, my team and I achieved an undefeated season, going 18-0, and winning back the State Championship title. The pride and joy of contributing to such an incredible season taught me what true commitment and team work is, while also increasing my desire to continue to work hard in the sport I love, fueling the fire in me. Coaches Tom Brackin and Lance Berry provided that continuously support to our team. The positive and competitive energy that I bring as a player contributed to our state title wins during both my freshman and junior years. Through my entire soccer career, my commitment has motivated me to push through minor injuries and possible mental setbacks.
Both of my parents have demanding careers which has created a structured and hard-working mentality. Growing up with a loving family that supports my goals has taught me that the only way to achieve them is by hard work and sacrifice.
In 2019 I was invited to guest play with my Uncle Kalman's soccer team in France and Belgium! I was elated to earn MVP in a couple of the games! Although we didn't speak the same language, our passion on the field, and excitement to play together was priceless! I learned that summer that futbol is a universal passion and language.
Soccer is my passion; however, I am also a member of the National Honor Society with a 4.17 GPA. I am an energetic and tactical soccer player seeking to play in a highly competitive collegiate program beginning Fall 2022. I primarily play midfield/wing, and I am both right and left footed. I feel my greatest strengths on the field include my vision of play, performing as a team unit, and my strong striking abilities. I offer athleticism, dedication, self-discipline, and an overall winning mentality. I thrive in an environment where the coaching staff believes in their players, and my goal is to stay on the East Coast.
