I am passionate about soccer and have been playing since I was six years old; competitively since I was seven. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a member of a soccer team and hope to continue playing in college. I am always wanting to improve and so am excited about the potential to play for a team where I can learn from both players and coaches.
In addition to being passionate about playing soccer, I understand the importance of good communication on and off the field. It is not enough to call for a pass, you also need to let each other know what you see on the field so adjustments can be made during play. Over the years, I have been able to quickly identify patterns and weaknesses of opposing players and will share that information with my teammates. I also believe it is essential to encourage each other if we want to be successful as a team.
While I love soccer and hope to play as long as possible, I am also committed to earning a quality education and one day becomeing an occupational therapist. Throughout high school, I have insisted on completing all of the honors and advanced placement (AP) courses available to me. I have maintained a high GPA while playing varsity soccer, club soccer, and running track. I plan to continue playing soccer in college while majoring in biological sciences and am determined to achieve excellence in both athletics and academics.
I am a determined, fearless player who never settles for good enough. I am a tough and aggressive player that is committed to success and I will work harder than anyone on the field or in the classroom. I respect my coaches and am always receptive to their guidance. Because I do not seek attention, I am very comfortable supporting team leaders, but I will step into leadership roles when appropriate. At the end of the day, I want my team and my school to be successful while playing the game I love.
