Hi, my name is Mirka Villarreal and I play for Teaneck Girls High School varsity soccer in Teaneck, New Jersey. I have been playing in varsity as a starter ever since freshman year. Unfortunately during my sophomore year I broke my wrist during a soccer game that took me pout of the season but after trained harder and became co-captain my junior year.
As I near my end of junior year and at the threshold of senior year, I have noticed now more than ever that I want to be a part in college soccer. As a child I have always had a soccer ball at my side. I have a deep love for the beautiful game and aspire to play soccer at another level every step i take. In order to accomplish this, I have trained hard over the past 8 years with my team and on my own. Playing soccer in college will not only expose me to a whole other level of soccer but it will help me throughout my academics during my learning experience in college.
Although I search for a college that will push me to do my best in soccer, I also search for a college that will push me academically. Education is just as important to me as soccer is. With these two combinations, my college experience will sure be a blast and will serve as a stress reliever during these four years. My greatest assets are my passing, dribbling and my determination. I would love the opportunity to progress in my soccer career. Thank you for reading my personal statement and reviewing my profile!
