Sarah Akin '22 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing soccer for the majority of my life. After my high school coach recommended I play club soccer my freshman year, my love for the game grew exponentially. Since then, I have been improving and pushing myself to see what I am capable of. I am also ambitious academically, as my education is very important to me. 

 Positive culture and a sense of family are very important to me in a team setting.  I believe surrounding yourself with positive influences helps you grow on and off the field, not only as a person, but as a leader as well.  Through my experiences in club and high school soccer, as well as an officer and drum major for my high school band, it has prepared me to bring these positive influences to my future teams and organizations.
