Personal Statement
For sixteen years, I have been lucky enough to grow up in a family where I learn something new everyday. As the middle daughter of 3 children, I have developed valuable skills as both a leader and a follower. Many of these skills carried over to playing on a soccer team. I have developed confidence in my decisions on the field, while also learning to trust my teammates. I work well with others by expressing my own ideas and being considerate of other's opinions. Additionally, instead of seeing constructive criticism as negative, I understand it is necessary to help me improve as an athlete. As I look back on the many coaches and teachers who have assisted me in becoming the person I am today, I have a deep appreciation for their impact in pushing me to realize my potential and strive beyond my goals. Because of these mentors, I am able to see the challenges in front of me, in athletics and academics, and confidently meet them head on.
