Ava Knap '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I am currently a student-athlete at St. Joseph Ogden High School in Saint Joseph, IL.  Being in such a competitive and successful cross country program has allowed me to excel in running as well as school. I am extremely driven and competitive, and I thrive in environments that are challenging and force me out of my comfort zone. SJO continues to teach me the value of a team. And outside of my high school team I have even created and run a local running club for female athletes that helps to empower, encourage, and support local runners in central Illinois (Midwest Wildwood Girls Running Club). Although I have personal goals, I run for my teammates. I will always be all in with any program or process. I am the athlete that is the first to show up to practice and the last to leave. I hope to find a college that shares these same values and morale, but also challenges me to take that next step competitively.
