Hello! My name is Layla Warren, and I am a rising Junior at Simpson County Academy in Mendenhall, MS, set to graduate in 2026. With a GPA of 3.8, I am committed to excelling both academically and athletically, driven by a deep passion for running.

From a young age, athletics have been an integral part of my life. I've actively participated in various extracurricular activities, including student council, annual staff, and supporting our football and baseball teams as a water girl and diamond doll. These experiences have taught me invaluable lessons in teamwork, time management, and leadership.

My journey as a runner began in the fourth grade, and since then, I have proudly been a member of the varsity cross country and track teams at Simpson County Academy. Over the years, I have reached significant milestones, including six state championships in both cross country and track events. Notably, I achieved the following titles:

• 2024 MAIS 5A State Champion in the 4x800
• 2022 MAIS 5A State Champion in Cross Country
• 2023 MAIS 5A State Champion in the 3200 meters

As I prepare for the upcoming seasons, I am dedicated to refining my skills and enhancing my performance. This summer, my goal is to improve my running form and endurance by increasing my mileage, with a target of completing over 200 miles in the month of June.
