Kyla Guilford '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, Coaches and/or Recruiters! My name is Kyla Guilford and I am a junior at Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy; and since my school does not have a sports team, I run track for Broughton Magnet High School in Raleigh, NC.  I also run for Track Xplosion with AAU. I've run track since 4th grade, specializing in the 100m dash and 200m dash, as well as the 4x1, 4x2, and 4x4 meter relays. Track is my passion; however, I would love to be in a position to help others. Though they are different, I have the desire to learn more about space exploration as well as learn more about the human body and how it functions so I can help save lives. My collegiate and aspirations include attending a school that meets my academic desires as well as holding a competitive athletic program. I have a love for the competitive environment and am focused and agressive. I am interested in attending a school that challenges me mentally and physically. I would love to be a part of a school that is diverse and piques my interests socially. I would be a good fit for your team because I believe that track isn’t just about ME, but about representation. Representing my race, those I make proud, those I get coached by throughout the years, and those I help encourage on the team as well. Thank you!
