Sonnie Sauvinsky '16 Recruiting Profile

Hello! My name is Sonnie Sauvinsky and I am from Rootstown Ohio. I have always been involved in sports but I have found that the reason that I continue on my athletic career is because I love being involved in something greater than myself. I love encouraging myself and others to try and push beyond their known abilities and I always see room for improvement. I have been playing soccer since I was 6 and have discovered track in 5th grade through Hershey's Track and Field. I attend Bio-Med Science Academy, but they do not have a athletic program so I participate in sports through my local school, Rootstown High School. I have maintained a high GPA while participating in soccer, track and cross country. I also have a job at Mcdonalds which I enjoy very much and I feel it presents me with an opportunity to expand on my skills as a team member and as a leader. Not only am I active in sports, I am also active in the class room by participating in clubs such as the Health Professionals Affinity Community (HPAC). I also live a very active life style with my family. I love running and competing and hope to continue my athletic career in college.
