I have been playing sports and involved in a team since a young age. I believe I am a well rounded athlete. I am on my school's varsity cross country team, I am on my high school varsity cheerleading team, and I am on the varsity track team as well. I have been running track since my 7th grade year. Since I stepped on the track I aspired to run at the collegiate level and even go further to possibly run in the olympics one day. I know that running at the collegiate level takes dedication and drive and I am committed to that. I also know that running at the collegiate level is a huge opportunity that could change my life.
I have a very dedicated and driven personality and I am a hard worker. I am very coachable and believe all my coaches would tell you that I am a leader and encourager and that I love helping my teammates to reach success, as well as myself. I am a leader both on and off the track and work hard at encouraging myself and others. Mental toughness is important to me and an area that I strive to always be better in. I strive to be one of the hardest working athletes that any of my coaches have worked with to not only better myself but represent the name of the school that is on my uniform well.
I work hard year round, training not only in season but off season as well. I work with a strength and training coach in the weight room and a running coach throughout the year. I work hard at making sure my nutrition stays healthy so that i can perform to the best of my ability. I am always striving to work in all areas that can contribute to my athleticism and make me a well rounded athlete.
I not only work hard in my sports, but in the classroom as well. I am a 4.0 student that is enrolled in concurrent college classes as well as being a part of an internship and athletic training program on top of my required high school classes as well. I am in the top 10% of my class and continue to work hard to keep this achievement. I volunteer at my church, North Church, in many capacities, helping lead groups as well as helping leaders with tasks they needs help with as well.
I want to attend a college where I am successful in the classroom and obtaining my degree in exercise science as well as being able to run and be on a team surrounded by others with like minded goals and atmosphere. I am open to all options and want to find the right college both academically and athletically. I want to find a team and program where I will have a balance of growth and becoming a better athlete as well as having success as well. I hope to become a great role model to all my peers and continue to grow in my leadership.
