I want to continue competing at a high level. I want to push myself to be better each and every day. I find pride in representing my school and my teammates.
I believe my running ability and leadership allow me to have a positive impact on any team. I lead, encourage and motivate my team. I never stop working.
I have been one of the top runners for Pendleton High School cross country since my freshman year. I have qualified and competed in cross country at the national level with Junior Olympics in 7th grade and as a junior. My best 5K time was 19:56.1 and I have made it my goal to beat this time during my upcoming season. I know I have it in me to get to 19:00. My average time my junior year was 21:27. My top time is 19:56.1 and my sophomore year I competed at the Nike Portland meet with a time of 21:18. I have participated in basketball, softball and cross country throughout middle school and high school. My junior year I made the decision to switch from softball to track. Due to COVID-19 I was unable to compete in the 2020 track season. I was slated to run the 800 and 4x400. My coach believed that I would have the potential to have a time of 2:20 for the 800. The disappointment of losing this opportunity to prove myself only fuels my determination to reach or surpass this goal next season.
My educational goal for college is to major in athletic training or physical therapy. I value education and have kept a 3.5 GPA in high school while taking honor english and science classes.
