Jaylah Fish '27 Recruiting Profile

The first time I stepped on a track was in the 5th grade. I began my running career representing Team Waco in local TAAF meets. I was fortunate to advance to the State meet every year. I am grateful to my coaches for believing in me at such a young age. They helped me grow into the athlete I am today and above all, encouraged me to run at a higher level.

I decided to push myself and join a running club. Through the support of my parents and club, I was introduced to two amazing organizations, AAU and USATF. I have gained knowledge, confidence, adaptability, and experience while competing in both. I’ve participated in outdoor track, indoor track, banked tracks, and multiple cross-country courses while traveling to compete in AAU and USATFJO meets.

I am very coachable and enjoy receiving feedback from my coaches to help me improve. Academically, I work hard to stay on top of my studies and maintain a good GPA.

My goal is to attend a college that will challenge me athletically and educationally. My options are open, and I would like to find a college that makes me feel at home and will support my values and goals. I pray that I will have the opportunity to continue the sport that I love.
