Hello, my name is Gillian Huss. Academically, my college goal is to major in Project Management. I aspire to play division 2 volleyball (or volleyball at any level if the school is a good fit for me), but I also have been a 3-year varsity basketball player. I am in my junior year and have played volleyball since I was 6 and basketball since I was 3 years old. Character wise, I will be the loudest on the court, most coachable and hardest worker...no matter what. I always look for opportunities to uplift my teammates and constantly challenge myself to improve, even if I am struggling or have an off day. Last year I transferred from Dimond High School to West High School in the middle of my sophomore year, and my new coach trained me as an outside hitter. Even though I played outside hitter this past season, I have been trained and played middle hitter since 2nd grade and also played a bit of right side for a season, so I am very versatile.
My senior year was great! I was named Maxpreps and AVCA player of the week twice. I also made 1st team all conference for my region in the state of Alaska!
Thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I look forward to hearing from you!
