As a student-athlete in a rural Alaska district such as Kenny Lake High School, I learned what it meant to be a hard worker and a leader on our significantly small team, as well as in the school. I played middle as a freshman and a sophomore. During my sophomore year, I was honored to be a starter on the team that won the 2018 State 2A Volleyball Championships. Entering into my junior year I was recommended to play outside hitter, rather than middle blocker. That year I was recognized with the name of Regional MVP. In middle school, I played both basketball and hockey before I started playing volleyball. This allowed me to grow mentally and physically as an athlete. In 8th grade, I then joined a middle school volleyball team and attended every practice to a school that was 45 minutes away from my school. I quickly fell in love with the game and decided I wanted to play on a collegiate level. Ever since then I have been working towards this goal.
In school, I aspire to be a strong influence on my fellow students by acting as the Student Council President and participating in various community activities. I have also maintained a 4.0 and higher throughout my years in high school. I would like to get a bachelor in Business Management and Administration when I attend college.
Thank you for your time!
