Madison Lawrence '21 Recruiting Profile

I started learning to play volleyball at the age of eleven after moving to a new school. It started as a hobby, and something to do in my spare time, but now it has grown into a part of my life and something I couldn't imagine not following through with into my college years.

My freshman year of high school my skills were unable to reach that of a full time team member; however, after only a year of working my hardest on and off the court, I became the head setter of my varsity team my sophomore year, then onto captain of the team my junior year. I strive to be adaptable and to be able to work on my own skills, while still implementing advice taken from those around me. 

In school, I find myself being similar, with taking leadership positions in clubs such as photography and the yearbook committee while maintaining my 4.0 GPA. For college I would like to maintain this attitude, being able to attend a college with a challenging education, and competitive teams.
